WHAT WE DO
TACA creates and facilitates experiences for programs to learn and grow together. These experiences include opportunities to collaborate, advocate for our collective goals, and engage in meaningful mentorship that leads your programs to levels of higher success.

Advocacy
As the largest source of teacher preparation and certification in the State of Texas, TACA advocates to keep alternative paths to licensure viable and of high quality. We also ensure that our programs and membership are represented in policy and Texas Administrative Code changes.

Mentorship
Something new to TACA is our Mentorship Program. If you are a new program director or find it difficult to navigate the waters of everything certification, we have mentors ready to help. TACA has years of expertise and can help guide you and your program through the EPP terrain. Just reach out to us and we can match you with someone that can help so you and your program can grow with us.

Collaboration
This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do at Texas Alternative Certification Association. Get in touch with any questions about how you can Volunteer Your Time today.

Perks
When you and your program staff are members of TACA, each person will receive a discounted conference rate for our annual TACA Winter Retreat, the CSOTTE Fall Conference, and the NAAC Spring Conference. The discount even applies to early bird registration!
